The quest Neutral Learning to Leave and Return: the Magical Way provides XP and monetary reward for using both crystals (but requires level 70). The Teleport to Violet Stand Crystal must be used first, meaning that you must have arrived in Dalaran previously (via the quest at 74 or via a Mage portal or a Warlock summon). A set of crystals, (Teleport to Violet Stand Crystal and Teleport to Dalaran Crystal), can be used.Anyone who is at least level 74 can complete Neutral The Magical Kingdom of Dalaran from any of several members of the Kirin Tor, which will portal them to Dalaran once.Mages can learn a portal to Dalaran at 74 from the portal trainer.Mages can talk to NPCs in Dragonblight and learn to teleport to Dalaran after completing Neutral Attunement to Dalaran available at level 71.The expection is the one in Dragonblight that gives you the “Ley Lines” quest chain.įor Ally I have no idea but they are probably in equal places like the base under Naxx in Dragonblight for example. They might be in more bases but they don’t do anything else besides that quest so they are easily overlooked once the quest is done. They stand near to the camp leader (major quest givers). Additionally I think I saw one in Venomspite (undead place in Dragonblight) as well. Those questgivers (mages) are situated in a lot of places (usually with a grey ! because you are too low for the quest) so you should have no trouble finding one.įor Horde I know about them in the major Orc strongholds in a lot of zones: Borean Tundra (Warsong Hold), Dragonblight and Grizzley Hills. Set your stone to the Dalaran, learn the portal if you are a mage and get the flight path! There you will get a quest to use the port back down to the ground and up again.īoom you are in Dalaran and can use portals now! Additionally you can get a lock to summon you to it.Īround level 74-75 you get a quest to go to Dalaran to bring some mage a ring. I think you can try to cross “Crystalsong Forest” to reach the ground mini-“base” from where you can port to Dalaran but there are lvl 80 mobs around so you might die a bit.

(Surely I will have time over the holidays. Now, I can get there through Coldara and where else? Well, since you suggested…I ain’t been to Dalran yet as I have been wrapping up stuff everywheres else. Once you have your flying mount back questing is sped up a lot as well. Move from wherever you are at to Dragonblight, then (74)Grizzly Hills, (76)Sholazar Basin (get initial flight from Dalaran), (77-78)Storm Peaks and finally Icecrown (get initial flight from Dalaran).Īlso screw those group quests when you look ages and don’t find people.Įither skip them complete or come back at 80 and do them with 1-2 guildies. The experience rolled in at a MUCH faster rate. I was doing the latter method and hovering around level 74 when I decided to follow the advice of a guildie and move to a new zone every 2 levels. Walter, if you are interested in moving quickly I would recommend moving zones along the way instead of doing total zone quest depletion. That being said, if your purpose is to continue to see and explore everything along the way, have at it. Neither the quest rewards nor the experience gain should be keeping you in the lower zones.

Move from wherever you are at to Dragonblight or preferably Zul’Drak, then (74)Grizzly Hills, (76)Sholazar Basin (get initial flight from Dalaran), (77-78)Storm Peaks and finally Icecrown (get initial flight from Dalaran). I quest, I explore, I get achievements, dungeons - and I swear I will not hit 80 for another few months.īut, I am in no hurry at all- some of the new quest lines are so much fun- Bliz did a great job making those grinding missions seem not grindy at all (ok most- ie the firecracker/bat poop one is just annoying) I got Lich King on release day…started a DK…I am currently sitting at 73.
